This Photo Of Antarctica Had Never Been Seen Before, What I Saw In The Ice Left Me In Shock

Rate this story

The last mystery on planet Earth is Antarctica. It’s been militarily controlled since the 1950s, and it’s understandable why. It’s super cold there, and so full of natural beauty the governments of the world want at least one place on this planet that’s untouched by man and his corruption.

Of all places, some of the most beautiful photos of Antarctica have surfaced via the Podesta emails made available to us from Wikileaks. What’s revealed is a land that time has forgotten. It’s a pristine wilderness and only hints at the harshness the winters supposedly can throw at you.

What you’re about to witness is simply stunning. Antarctica in all of its untouched, unpolluted glory. Admiral Richard Byrd led the first expedition to the southern continent. He later would give an extensive interview detailing his findings. He said that once you get past the ice wall, there’s an interior land roughly the size of the United States. This area is not covered in snow like you may think, and he says that every natural resource is available in abundance. He chiefly points out coal and uranium. So it’s easy to understand why the governments of the world have closed the continent off to civilians.

Who knew that Antarctica had any green at all?!

Wikileaks is great for exposing corruption at the highest levels in our government, but it’s also great that it inadvertently unlocked the hidden majesty of our planet. Is there more that has been hidden from us of the “unexplored” places on the planet that are being kept like secrets in a government vault?
