Carrie Underwood Reveals Two Things More Important Than Singing Career — Jesus Is One

When country music superstar was asked about the most important things in her life, her massive singing career didn’t top the list. It wasn’t even close, in fact.

Instead, Underwood revealed in a past interview that her relationship with Jesus Christ and her job as a mother and wife are the most important things to her.

“At the end of the day everything that I’m doing now is going to fade, but I’m going to be a mom until the day I die, so that’s more important. In however many years, I don’t know how many it’ll take, but people will be like, ‘Oh, yeah, I remember that name’. That’s just the way any job is,” she said. “But I’ll be a mom and a wife forever, so that definitely takes precedence over everything else.”

Addressing her faith, Underwood went as far as to say it remains the “backbone of all” that she does.

“I’m lucky that singing in country music it’s not frowned upon and it’s not strange,” she said.

And it seems like she has her priorities more than straight, even though she is one of the most famous celebrities on the planet. She’s focused more on personal goals than professional ones.

“It’s hard to imagine setting too many more professional goals. I think a lot of the things that I look forward to are more personal things.”

Underwood has remained true to her Christian roots throughout her career, with smash hits like “Jesus Take a Wheel” and “Something in the Water,” which tells the story behind her baptism.

Even as her career was just beginning to take off, she still knew who was ultimately responsible for her blessings.

“I grew up in church and have a wonderful family that always supported that,” Underwood told Fox News back in 2011. “I grew up going to church camp and reading my bible and having different faith books and movies in my life.”

It seems not much has changed for Carrie Underwood. Share her story if you wish more celebrities would follow her lead.
