Grammy Award-Winning Rapper Stuns Democrats: ‘Black People Don’t Have to Be Democrats’

Chance the Rapper stunned the political left on Wednesday when he proclaimed, “Black people don’t have to be Democrats.”

The free-thinking Chicago rapper’s comment lit the internet on fire and came after rapper Kanye West professed his “love” for President Donald Trump.

“You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother,” West tweeted. “I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

West also posted a photo of his signed MAGA hat.

The left was quick to condemn West for supporting Trump and even questioned his mental health. However, Chance the Rapper defended his friend from the speculative attacks.

“Talked to him two days ago. He’s in a great space and not affected by folk tryna question his mental or physical health. Same Ye from the Vmas, same Ye from the telethon,” he wrote.

Chance also speculated that the next president of the United States is going to be an “independent.”

Black Americans overwhelmingly vote for Democrats. In the 2016 presidential election, 88 percent of black voters voted for Hillary Clinton, while just 8 percent voted for Trump.

Some Americans, like West, feel like Democrats haven’t been delivering on all their promises. For example, the rapper noted that Obama was “in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.

Trump, of course, supported Kanye West’s message.

Do you agree with the rappers about the Democratic Party?
