After Obsessing Over Sex Allegations Against Trump, Look How CNN Describes JFK’s Sex Life

CNN has given considerable coverage to sexually charged allegations against President Donald Trump, giving former porn star Stormy Daniels and a Playboy playmate a platform to spill their affair claims.

The network was called out for “hypocrisy” when it described the wild sex life of former Democratic President John F. Kennedy as “legendary,” which is quite different than how CNN has discussed Trump’s private life in the news.

“JFK had a legendary love life. Did one of his affairs connect him with the mob?” CNN asked in a tweet promoting its new series “The Kennedys.” The tweet, seen above, also included a promotional video.

Twitter was quick to point out the “double standard.”

“The double standard is amazing between JFK/Clinton and Trump,” one user responded.

“Hypocrisy at its finest,” another user replied.

Though CNN appears to have removed many of the previous replies to the post on Twitter, Fox News reported on some of the reactions:

Author Joshua Kendall responded that “legendary love life” is a poor choice of words because it makes JFK’s infidelity sound “glamorous” and attached a link to a recent Los Angeles Times op-ed headlined, “JFK may have been a worse philanderer than Trump. Does it matter?”

Daily Caller media reporter Amber Athey quoted CNN’s promotional tweet and wrote, “That’s certainly an interesting way to describe having numerous affairs while president. I think we need to get Anderson Cooper on this to find out if JFK was wearing a condom

Meanwhile, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper recently sat down with Playboy playmate Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels to detail unconfirmed sex allegations against the president.

In a scathing op-ed for The Hill, DePauw University professor Jeffrey McCall argued that “CNN lost its way in struggle to find an audience.”

“CNN’s warped obsession with reporting about supposed adultery demonstrates a larger problem at the once-proud and groundbreaking channel,” he wrote.

One wonders if much of America feels the same way.
