Our streets are full of riots; our Facebook feeds are cluttered with hatred and rage. But in the midst of liberal chaos, Dolly Parton’s emotional plea resounds now more than ever. Every American needs to hear Dolly’s powerful and convicting message.
Dolly Parton has never shied away from her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In fact, Dolly is one of the most outspoken women of faith in Hollywood today.
When I heard Dolly’s emotional message to fans during a show in Charlotte, North Carolina, I was moved to tears.
Dolly Parton was scheduled to sing her famous song, ‘Hello God.’ But instead, Dolly was overcome with conviction. Just before she began to sing, Dolly passionately explained that it’s time for America to wake up. We need to love one another. We need to pray. We need to look to God.
Dolly urged her fellow Americans, “Nobody knows when the end is coming, some people will tell you they do. Well that’s a secret known only to God, not a fanatical few. It might be today, or it might be tomorrow or in a million years or two. But in the meantime we gotta be happy, we gotta work together, we gotta do better, we gotta dream more, care more, do more, be more…and it wouldn’t hurt to pray more, right? So let’s just stop this old doomsday attitude and get on with the show… Be happy! Everybody just do your part. We may not be able to save the whole world but we can save the world around us.”

“Hello God. This old world has gone to pieces. Can we fix it, is there time? Hate and violence just increases. We’re so selfish, cruel and blind. We fight and kill each other. In your name, defending you. Do you love some more than others? We’re so lost and confused. Hello God, are you out there? Can you hear us, are you listenin’ any more? Hello God, if we’re still on speakin’ terms. Can you help us like before? Oh, the free will you have given, We have made a mockery of. This is no way to be livin’, We’re in great need of your love. Hello God, can you grant us, Love enough to make amends. Is there still a chance That we could start again. Hello God, we’ve learned our lesson. Dear God, don’t let us go. More than ever, we really need you. We can’t make it without you. We beseech you. In the name of all that’s true Hello God, please forgive us, For we know not what we do.”
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
It’s time we love one another and look to God. Thank you, Dolly Parton, for reminding Americans that Jesus Christ is our nation’s ONLY hope! May God Bless America! Please share if you agree!
