On this year’s International Women’s Day, First Lady Melania Trump hosted a luncheon at the White House to celebrate the role of women in today’s society.
In typical liberal fashion, folks on the left were able to find something that “triggers” them, and they were not too kind with their criticism.
What, exactly, did the First Lady do to deserve such vitriol? According to those courageous keyboard warriors out there, she didn’t wear red! Gasp!
Critics of the First Lady were quick to call her out for her wardrobe choice, in which she wore black. The president’s daughter, Ivanka, was also a bit of a rebel, and wore purple. Of course, liberal Americans did not react positively (or rationally) in response:
Melania had the perfect words to counter these feminists.
“As women, many of us have been blessed to share the joy of bringing new life into the world and with that comes the profound responsibility to ensure a just, safe and kind planet for all of our children, regardless of their gender.”
What’s baffling is that while the left continues to attack the Trump family, all they’re doing is supporting women!
Ivanka Trump was quick to point out the fact that in her father’s company “there are more female than male executives.” Of course, this detail gets left out of most main-stream reports.
Ivanka shared, “This has long been the philosophy at the Trump Organization. At my father’s company, there are more female than male executives. Women are paid equally for the work that we do.”
As you all know the media is obsessed with what the president tweets, but they were awfully quiet when the Donald Trump issued the following statements:
Talking heads like to gloss over the fact that president Trump’s campaign was led by Kellyanne Conway. The first woman to successfully run a presidential campaign hardly gets the recognition she deserves, and is instead constantly bashed by the liberal media. Yet, liberals consider the Trump administration to be anti-woman.
Just how “pro-woman” is the Trump family? Ivanka Trump is coming out with a book in May titled “Women Who Work” and is donating all proceeds to charity. She’s also taking time off from running her business to assist her father’s administration. In the past she’s said that her father “will change the labor laws that were put into place at a time when women were not a significant portion of the workforce.”
In a month’s time, the president has already signed a bill to promote women working in the STEM fields, while combatting the liberal attacks on him and his family. Unfortunately, the attention seems to go to people playing victim as opposed to things actually getting done.
