In a day where political rhetoric runs fierce and loud, it can quickly become more about the United States of America than about our true home: Heaven.
It’s not that we aren’t concerned about what happens inside of our borders —- we should most definitely play a part in protecting and increasing the freedoms that America has enjoyed since our founding as a nation. But that’s not what this is all about, entirely.
And one man is brave enough to stand up and say something about it. That man is none other than Rev. Franklin Graham.
Rev. Graham is calling for change in the fabric of America. He compares the current state of the Union to that of ancient Babylon, whose days were numbered because of their dishonor of God.
One of the things that most Christians fail to remember is that though God loves America, He is more concerned with the hearts of people than anything. And at the end of the age, He is coming back for his Church —- a pure and spotless Bride — not for a particular country. It’s about His Kingdom.
As Christians, our home is not about geographic borders, but about the Kingdom of God coming to earth. Jesus taught us to pray, “Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
This is not just about America. This is about God’s Kingdom coming to earth and America can play a part in it if we choose to. Revelation has already prophesied it that in the end, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)
This is about God’s Kingdom coming to earth and we need to pray that God moves strongly to restore America back to His heart. Thank you Rev. Graham for speaking forth truth to dispel the darkness!
