What He Did With All Those Election Posters Will Blow Your Mind, I’m Doing This!

You know what happens to all those yard signs when the election ends? Well, most of them end up in a landfill, but if you’ve got some ingenuity you could find some uses for what would otherwise be garbage.

The tiny house craze has birthed creativity in the minds of Americans throughout the country, but Paul Elkins has a mobile home the likes of which I guarantee you’ve never seen.

Unlike any living quarters of its kind, Elkins’ mobile home is so tiny that it weighs only 60 pounds, but still includes a stove, sink, bed, lighting, counter, and a cabinet to store food. Oh, and it can be pulled by a bike. The total cost for Paul’s cool crib-on-the-go? $150!

You won’t believe what he made it out of, either. While he did get some boards, duct tape, and zip ties from the hardware store, the main source of material for his tiny home was election posters. No, you didn’t misread that. Paul’s home is made out of old election posters that would’ve otherwise been destroyed.

Could this revolutionize the way people live? Paul seems to think it provides an alternative for people who might not be able to afford the luxuries of an RV, but would still like to rest their head while on the go. With no insurance or payments to make, it also could be used as a shelter for someone unable to afford a home.

“It does show the possibilities of a new way to get around and travel, or to live. You don’t have car insurance, you don’t have home insurance payments. What do you got? Food. For people who can’t afford a pickup truck and to build a little home on a trailer, maybe they could just do this and tour around. For people who are adventurers and don’t mind pulling a little weight and taking their time traveling, this I think would be a fun way to go.”

As you can see, Paul has really done a great job with his tiny home on wheels. With lights, windows, and insulation he has really made himself quite an impressive camper. Take a look at how he did it, and if you think you have what it takes, you can follow his steps to make one for yourself!

The “Micro Mobile Home” might be the next big thing to hit the streets. For those who like adventure, or for someone who simply wants to rest their head for cheap, this could be the way to go.
