With spring in full force, bugs and mice of all shapes and sizes are creeping into our homes. They cozy up and make their own little colonies in every nook and cranny.
Most people don’t appreciate the unwelcome guests. We pump the house full of critter-killing sprays and poisons to fight off the infestation.
Sometimes the products uses to rid the bugs and mice of their new home can cause harm to children and pets. The chemical-filled products can unknowingly reach our loved one’s hands and mouths. It’s not the safest method of shooing away the pests.
There is, however a natural way to say goodbye to all the varmints. If you are a tea drinker you may already have what you need in your pantry.
Peppermint tea can make the mice scurry away and the bugs fly for the hills. Make a cup of tea and place just the wet tea bag in the room where the spiders have set up camp. For great results, put a tea bag in multiple spots in the room.
If that method doesn’t appeal to you, essential oils have the same affect. Grab a spray bottle and put 10 drops of peppermint oil in the container.
Gently swirl the solution until thoroughly mixed. Spray along the baseboards of the room with the pesky guests. They will run for their lives.
If peppermint isn’t your favorite scent, you can also use lemon oil.
With either fragrance, your house is sure to smell incredible and will also be bug and mice free.
