Nikki Haley Walks Into U.N. and Silences Room With Blistering Response to Syria Strike

United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley issued a blistering statement before the international body on Sunday, telling the world the “time for talk ended last night.”

Watch Haley’s remarks below:

“A week has gone by in which we have talked. We’ve talked about the victims in Douma. We’ve talked about the Assad regime and its patrons, Russia and Iran. We’ve spent a week talking about the unique horror of chemical weapons. The time for talk ended last night,” Haley said.

Haley also blasted Russia for unilaterally opposing the enforcement of U.N. sanctions concerning the use of chemical weapons.

“It is Russia alone that has stopped at nothing to defend the Syrian regime’s multiple uses of chemical weapons,” she said.

Finally, Haley handed down a stern warning to Syria about what will happen if the regime decides to use chemical weapons on innocent civilians again.

“The United States of America will not allow the Assad regime to continue to use chemical weapons,” she said. “Last night, we obliterated the major research facility it used to assemble weapons of mass murder. I spoke to the president this morning and he said if the Syrian regime uses this poisonous gas again, the United States is locked and loaded.”

She added, “When our president draws a red line, our president enforces the red line.”
