Obama Said The U.S. Didn’t Pay A Ransom To Iran, What I Just Saw Proves That’s A Lie

We know so far by watching the news that America was already cutting a damaging deal with Iran by allowing them to develop nuclear energy. The farce of this agreement is that it was not to be used for weapons development. We now have confirmation that another layer of deception was taking place at the same time.

Not only were we surrendering to a terror state – a declared enemy of Israel – by allowing them have access to breaking down the atom [the practice in developing nuclear energy], we were simultaneously paying them almost half a billion dollars to bring back U.S. hostages.

America has long stood on the principle of not negotiating with terrorists, nor surrendering to terrorist demands under any circumstances – allegedly. Yet the cat was out of the bag this time on the discovery of the ransom payment, which the White House wouldn’t say that the payment didn’t happen. Yet Obama indirectly admitted to by saying, “This wasn’t some nefarious deal.”

Donald Trump and others came out very critical of the White House for this action. The Obama administration said the payment was the first installment of a $1.7 Billion legal settlement, to resolve a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal signed just before the 1979 fall of Iran’s last monarch, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, which still sounds ludicrous. In return, Obama was quick to put down Trump’s accusations, and naturally everyone sided with the President.

“What we have is the manufacturing of outrage on a story that we disclosed in January,” Obama said.

“The notion that we would somehow start now in this high-profile way, and announce it to the world, even as we’re looking in the faces of other families whose loved ones are being held hostage and say to them, ‘We don’t pay ransom,’ defies logic,” he added.

The truth is, it turns out that we DO pay ransom.

According to news reports, the money wasn’t allowed to be picked up by the Iranians until a Swiss plane with the 4 U.S. hostages left Tehran, and at that point, Iranian cargo planes were allowed to load up the money directly in Geneva!

As a result, there was plenty of pushback from others in Washington. John Carlin, a member of Obama’s administration who was confirmed by the Senate, thought that the whole thing looked horrible and didn’t agree that it should be done at all.

See why this looks like a ransom payment?

Obama insists that this isn’t a ransom, because the money was already due to them [Iran] from 1979!

Thanks, President Obama. Way to do Iran a solid!
