If the past week and a half has taught us anything, it’s that the world of intrigue is alive and well.
The accusations swirling around Trump and his team are only the tip of the iceberg as to what’s actually happening in D.C. There is a real play for power, and reclaiming lost power. The Cold War has been resurrected and it’s playing out in dimensions never dreamed of in previous decades.
The ousted faction led by former President Obama has been leading the assault against President Trump and his newly minted administration since day one. It’s perennially cool to support Obama, and it will likely be cool for eight years to loathe and hate Donald Trump. And anyone who stands in the way of this will now be taken out.
Did the Russian Ambassador to the United Nations die just because of a heart attack? Or was his death the result of foul play?
Vitaly Churkin was one day away from his 65th birthday when he went into cardiac arrest. The Russian Foreign Ministry issued this statement,
“The outstanding Russian diplomat died while he was in his current working role. We offer our condolences to the relatives of Vitaly Ivanovich Churkin,”
Samantha Powers remembered him well on Twitter,
Andrey Karlov was the Russian Ambassador to Turkey and was gunned down in Ankara in late December last year. His death, an obvious assassination, and Churkin’s unexpected death today makes one wonder if we’re actually witnessing warfare against Russia. This type of activity harkens back to the political assassinations of the 1970s that dominated the global stage.
Time will tell, but like always we must read between the lines as to what’s really going on in the world.
