This video may appear to be old news, but the message behind it will move you to tears. Over 10 years since this was released and it is still crushing the internet. You won’t want to miss this.
You may have seen this skit before since it first made it’s debut in 2006, but the powerful message it brings to it’s viewers is a great reminder no matter what you are going through.
The “Lifehouse Everything Skit” was originally performed at the Smoky Mountain Winterfest in Knoxville, Tennessee for 30,000 people. Since that night the skit has only grown in popularity thanks to the internet. That inspiring night went from reaching 30,000 people to over 35 million people from the moment it hit YouTube 10 years ago.
It has been said that “Many are calling the “Lifehouse Everything Skit” a phenomena, but it is so much more than that, as more and more continue to fall in love with Jesus or revive their relationship with Him after watching it.”
No matter what perspective you have or what you are going through this image of the constant struggle to choose Christ over sin applies to everyone. This skit has brought many back to the Lord and has led many to come to know him.
One viewer said:
“I was doubting my faith, and for me that is a big deal. I was doubting if God really exists, and why does he allow things to happen. I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life and turn my back on Jesus and become Buddhist… A friend of mine showed me this video. I cried then and I still cry every time I watch this video. I have no more doubts about Jesus. Praise the Lord Saints!”
Since this skit became well known, many churches and groups have brought it to their own congregations and it has never disappointed. The challenges the girl goes through may be extreme circumstances for some and spot on for others. Either way, we all struggle with sin and temptation and this is an incredible depiction of what that looks like and the choices we have to make.

Now does that give you chills or what?
The crazy thing is, Lifehouse doesn’t want to be called a Christian group because they believe they can reach more people that way while still delivering a biblical message. Pretty smart if you ask me.
The lyrics from the song add so much weight the the skit and they go like this:
You calm the storms and you give me rest
You hold me in your hands
You won’t let me fall
You steal my heart and you take my breath away
Would you take me in, take me deeper now
And how can I stand here with you and not be moved by you
Would you tell me how could it be any better than this
This video proves that though the times have changed and we have better video quality, God’s truth is still the same. It is timeless.
I John 4:4 says:
“You dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
If this performance moved you to tears please share the joy of Jesus Christ with others!
