A group of young teen girls, one of whom was wearing a pro-Trump shirt, were waiting in line to get cookies for younger children at their church on Saturday when a woman suddenly started yelling and berating them.
“Grab ‘em by the p***y, girls,” the woman reportedly yelled.
Though the girls initially ignored her, the woman repeated the obscenity and then started screaming, “MAGA! MAGA! MAGA!” while shaking her fist at them. She even reportedly snapped a photo of the girl wearing the pro-Trump shirt, which included the president’s trademark “Make America Great Again” slogan.
The father of one of the girls told KPRC-TV the girls were “absolutely scared.”
“My little girl essentially wanted to know if this woman was going to hurt her,” he recalled.
It turns out, the woman was actually an elected Texas official.
KPRC-TV identified the harasser as West University Place Councilwoman Kellye Burke, who is also a member of the anti-gun Moms Demand Action group.
While Burke may have thought her behavior was justified, the Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office did not.
Burke was tracked down by police and charged with a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct on Wednesday. She will likely have to pay a fine. That’s karma for you.
Burke reportedly called one of the families to apologize — and the family had a perfect response. As an elected official, they said, it will be up to the voters to decide her fate.
