This Pianist Made A Coffee House Go Silent When He Sang About Christ’s Birth

Leonard Cohen’s, ‘Hallelujah’, is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever written. There are a few good covers of it, but I never thought that it could actually be improved upon.

Ross Wooten may have just done that.

Set in a coffee shop, Ross and a couple of his friends play the music to Hallelujah, but Ross has changed the words to be more reflective of Christmas.

His reinterpretation of the classic recounts the Christmas birth story of Christ. If it was retold with any other subject matter it wouldn’t work. This is definitely going to be on repeat in our office.
