Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson celebrated 30 years of marriage on Monday, defying the odds and making their Hollywood marriage work.
Wilson shared the special milestone with the world on social media, posting an awesome throwback photo.
“@tomhanks April 30,1988-April 30,2018 Thirty on Thirty. Keeping love alive. Grateful,” she tweeted.

They also threw a big 30th anniversary extravaganza, inviting big-name guests like Oprah and former President Barack Obama.
Hanks and Wilson have been through a lot already as husband and wife, in addition to the high pressure of making a marriage work in Hollywood.
In a 2012 interview, Wilson recalled one of the moments in the 1980s that let her know Hanks was “the one.’
“I’ll never forget, we were standing on the corner of 57th and 5th in New York, or 58th and 5th. We were holding hands, and we were waiting for the traffic light to change,” she recalled. “And he looked at me and he said, ‘You know, I just want you to know, that you never have to change anything about who you are in order to be with me.'”
Wilson was also diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and underwent a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Hanks loved his wife through the entire ordeal and she is now cancer free.
