When Mike Pence Swears In Tomorrow, He’ll Be Sending A Defiant Message To Liberals Everywhere

Donald Trump’s inauguration is finally upon us, and some interesting details about the ordeal are being leaked out.

Our Presidents have always been sworn in on a Bible, it’s a testament to the Christian values our country was founded on. We’ve just learned that Vice President-Elect Pence will be swearing in on Ronald Reagan’s Bible. It’s a not so subtle tribute to conservative values that Trump believes will help make the country better.

Pence could just place his hand on top of the Bible and that would be it, but the Bible will actually be opened to 2 Chronicles 7:14. It’s a powerful promise from God pertaining to what He’ll do for countries that turn to Him and choose to lead repentant lives.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Pence elaborated on why he chose Reagan’s Bible specifically,

“President Ronald Reagan placed his faith in a loving God and the goodness of our country. He set out to change a nation and in doing so, he changed the world. In the march of history, Ronald Reagan’s time in office was limited, but his legacy inspired a generation and will continue beyond,”

Pence added,

“It will be humbling to enter office with President Donald Trump, standing next to my family, with my wife Karen holding the same Bible used by President Reagan when he took office.”

There’s no doubt that our land needs healing. Divisions of race and class have never been bigger or more evident. There’s so much hate being thrown at Trump, his success is inevitable as President.

The fact that the men who will be occupying the two highest offices in our land, are Bible believing Christians speaks volumes. Our words carry power, as revealed in Proverbs 18:21

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

The media and the unwitting public will try and do everything in their power to make these two men look like corrupt, hateful failures, but it won’t be able to derail what they’ve been put there to do. We’re actually instructed to pray for our leaders in scripture.

Trump and Pence are not perfect men, and there’ll be plenty to get offended over, but instead of taking to Facebook to complain about their failings, which won’t help at all. What if we began offering prayers for these men daily, that they would be able to accomplish everything in office they’ve been called to do.

Remember 1 Timothy 2:1-4

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

Praying for our leaders helps insure the peace of a nation, and actually makes it easier for the Gospel to be taught.

Pray for Trump. Pray for Pence. Pray that revival breaks out in every church in this nation. Pray that you get to participate in the coming billion soul harvest that is coming. Joel chapter 2 is coming, but the more you pray it in and claim it, the sooner it will happen.
